Anyone looking for an almost new MBX5 Prospec check out my thread here:

http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=148849

I only ran it twice. Then I borrowed the center diff and radio tray setup to slap in my MBX5T since I was in a hurry to get my truck done. So I slapped in the brand new center diff/spur and radio tray from the truck kit in this buggy. Also a ton of other brand new, never run parts and spares.

I have a new MBX5R buggy I bought after I got the MBX5T so why I'm selling this.

I am also selling my other MBX5 buggy that has the "complete" KingHeadz upgrades kit for it. Car has titanium turnbuckle kit and K-factory servo-saver. I replaced most of the stuff on the car with brand new parts since I had so many spares for the old car. The chassis, front & rear diff, arms and knuckles have about 1-1/2 gallon on them. Center diff/spur is new, new outdrives, new front & rear CVD's, new front center CVD, new 17mm wheel hexes/nuts, new gray shock springs, new shock caps/bushings, new bladders, new pistons, new seal kit and new 8x16mm bearings throughout. Diffs are 5-7-2 and 400Wt in the shocks (all new Mugen oils). The car also has a brand new radio tray and box.

Best regards,

that is nice. This a very popular selling kit at our shop. The parts are easy to get also. Got to love that.

Hey, any of you running the Ninja with 30%? Are you adding a shim or running it out of the box ?

I run the Ninja with Byron's 30%, straight out of the box with the Ninja pipe and it tunes and runs excellent and has very consistent temp readings.

Default MBX5 Prospect vs. MBX5R

Hello all,

I have a little used Prospec and wanted to replicate the MBX5R suspension geometry...is this possible?

Assuming I replace the F&R towers and shocks, do the old lower arms use the same hole locations for shock mounts as the 5R?

thanks in advance,

John

Yep, it all bolts on if that's what you're asking.

You could probably just dremel old arms to make them the same...the only difference I could really see was that the recess where the droop screws are is "deeper". The new shocks and towers would probably get you most of the way by themselves.

Mine is a Prospec with all the "R" stuff on it and it sets up and droops just like an "R".
