First good luck to all the cen drivers at the worlds this week!!!

I have been looking at getting into 1/8 scale buggies. Is the CEN a good choice for a beginner. How does it compare to the Hypers or the Caster ZX-1R?

I think Gene Hickerson is close behind him. It's really awesome that there are already CEN racers so high up in positions. I mean, CEN is probably the minority at the race. Most run Losi, associated, kyosho, etc. CEN is definitely the force to deal with. Good luck to all the CEN guys are the worlds!

Looks like the CEN guys are struggling. None that I know of have put in more than 12 laps. The top guys are getting 13 laps.

I hope they can pick it up in the final round of qualifing!!

Cen drivers are struggling at the Worlda. They named the top 40 drivers and not one of them was from Cen

I read on Neo buggy that after 5 rounds of qualifying Gene and Andrew were like 65 & 66 with using the best 4 out of 5 rounds. They had the last round of qualifiing and then the worst two rounds are thrown out for their final placing.
The best laps they are getting is 12 while the top 20 seem like they are getting 13 laps in the 10 min qualifiers.

As far as i know, November / December. Rodrigo Luis (Portuguese driver) run a very close to production version of the car at the worlds, and the cars looks and performs awesome, i've been told that right now just small adjustments need to be worked on, so we can receive the car on the market by the end of the year ...

I am new to 1/8th scale buggies and I just picked up a cen matrix FRE. I have some questions about the buggy setup and support equipment.

What is the best starter box, body, and wing to get for the buggy?
Where can I get some set-up sheets blank and one which has the best base setup?
I would like to pick up a set of the remote reservoirs for the shocks I have seen on the earlier posts. How do I get those and are they still available?

For the body, the J Concepts Mugen body fits well also the Parma X-Citer Universal buggy body fite well too.

For the set-ups you can go to the Cen Racing website to see how the factory frivers have their cars set-up.

http://www.cenracing.com/race/setup.html

You should still be able to find the reservoir shock kit you can find them at Custom RC Cars. The kit will do all 4 shocks.

Thanks for the links. What are you running for batteries and a clutch setup?

Does the clutch setup vary by the motor/pipe combo? I am going to get either an RB S3 or a GO 3 port Turbo. Our tracks are really small and tight so I need a lot of bottom end punch out of the corners.
