We have never had a drive shaft on the buggy pop out either. Weíve been running the buggy now for a year. We usually run - 2 degrees of negative camber and 1 or 2 degrees of tow-out on the front.

We did have one pop out on the rear of the TR but since we have been running -3 degrees of camber on the rear and havenít had it happen again.

I donít know if it would work but you could try using the TR outdrives on the front. They are 2-3mm longer so the drive shaft would go up in them further. Let us know if you figure out the problem.

I think I have experienced that, too, few times and nothing wasn't really that worn out. Putting some more negative camber did help, but I didn't find it a very nice way to solve the issue cause I had to use more camber than I would have really wanted to. This is not actually very surprising because if you put the A-arms in maximum intravel position (suspension compressed) the CVD pin comes out from the diff cup slightly. At least in my Matrix. There are universals around that are slightly longer that fit and you can try out if this becomes a constant issue. For me it wasn't, however, and I was able to finish all my races with the stock parts. It happened on training sessions on hard landings or something I guess.

I don't think the TR outdrives fit, they are too long to turn or something.

anyone confirm if mugen mbx5 shock springs (regular, and R type) work on the Matrix shock bodies? Also, where does the stock cen blues fall in relationship to mugen shock springs?

They work just fine. I did not like the reds though if thats what you are thinking. They were too long and I could not get the ride height correct no matter what I did. They are nice for bashing though.

Right now I got a set of mugen grey's, and a set of mugen whites.

Depending on the rating of the stock matrix springs, I will save one set and let the other go.

The very 1st RTR's had shorter outdrives, but that problem was fixed 2 years ago. I can't help with out seeing pictures. Right now I even have Mugen CVD's on in the rear which are even shorter then CEN CVD's with no issues.

Naah..it's not that big issue. I just wanted to say it has happened to me too, because some of the guys here were talking about it. I have shorter KMW shock bodies (designed by Gene) and this may be part of the issue due to increased intravel though Gene said it hasn't ever happened him. Check out your driveshafts the front suspension fully compressed, if your driveshafts stay in the cups all the way (including pins) then you won't have a problem - ever. Mine came out (the pins, not the axle itself) slightly and in the summer heat it is possible that arms flex a bit in a hard landing in a high jump so the shaft can pop off, usually the drive cup is damaged slightly at the same time. I doubt it will ever happen in good landings on smaller jumps.
