Info about the Silverstate.

My buggy was dialed all week. Me and Andy did not pit in buggy or truggy all week. I was getting 12-13 min on a tank. In the 1st qual, I bent a rear shock shaft in warm-up (that is why I was 3-4 sec per lap off pace). In round 2, I was on a very fast pace (would have qualified 9th for the round), but broke a proto rear CVD. in the 3rd round, the 75mph wind blew myu car off the track on lap 1 and I broke a front shock shaft. That put me in the G-main, which was the worst I have ever done (E-main is the lowest I have ever been).

But I bumped from the G-main to the C-main before my luck ran out.

In truggy, I qualifed 17th, but did not bump to the A-main. I ran an all new truck with the BCE chassis. It weighed 9 pounds even, right at the minimum. It is going to be very good once I get it set-up right.

Been looking at a CEN again, was happy with my last, and see something for sale I am looking at that could get me in the camp again but I have a few questions:

1. For the current Matrix, what size are the shocks, and are they bigger than say the Mugen MBX5 ones?

2. How does droop compare to the Mugen MBX5 and MBX5R with out any modifications?

3. Same question above, but with mods and please list what mods?

4. for this Re matrix buggy, is this something that will be able to be bought as an add on kit?

5. What are some of the known issues with the buggy?

6. Vehicle I am looking at has been changed over to the truggy diffs it seems, what benefit is this?

7. how does weight of the FRE matrix compare to the MBX5R, using the CNC shock towers on the FRE Matrix, and CNC steering knuckles?

Thanks again for all info.

Cain, can't answer to your questions but from what I know about Mugen it has quite different feeling to drive. I prefer CEN FRE much better. I suits my driving style, not Mugen. Of course this has something to do with setups but in general..that's my answer. Also, I think Mugen is in a different price range CEN being less expensive.

Cain, actyually .. your Q6: Truggy diffs are basically the same as buggy's.. there are two kind of diffs, though, the RTR and FRE.. gearing (number of teeth) is slightly different and the material, FRE diffs are hardened and RTR diffs are cast alum. There is also this new crosspin conversion to the original diffs, but new kits/models should have the cross pins installed from the factory.. But again, truggy and buggy diffs are the same, only the spur for the truggy is substantially larger which is easy to see.
