Dang, another great driver gone due to Ofnas' (hoboa/hongnor) inability to either sign or keep some of it's best racers and supporters....

Good luck Pato

Default Center brake drive cups

Is there any stronger replacement for the center drive cups. Mine have a good notch in them, where as the front and rear seem fine. Anyone know of any other that may work in place of these?

yes, there is new version available with better hardening, equal to those you currently have front and rear. They are marked on the packade with an acronym which I don't remember just know. Something with a "d" or "p".

thanks again robert, back to the leaky diff. i took apart the diffs again, and noticed it was leaking from the shims, i just removed them and all seems well.. time will tell, but so far alot better. Perhaps i had the screws too tight and cause the shim to bend slightly? eh who knows

you should have 1 shim in there
is it leaking outside of the diff or is there just oil on the shim when you break it open?

the oil is outside of diff, when i crack the diff open, the gasket is clean, but the diff case side of shim, there is a small area that is wet, from where i guess the oil is escaping

of if you can clearly tell its one little area then your shim is most likely bent like you said i suggest just getting a new shim

you do have a gasket on each side of the diff right?

yeah, gasket on both sides, i'm convinced that the shims are the issue. The diff seems very smooth without the shim, although, i do have a few spares, Would it hurt to run without them? I rebuilt all diffs with the new plastic diff case and new pins.

Hi, my Matrix has been on diet.. it's running weight is now 7.25 pounds (3290g), with BBF diffs slightly higher 3330g. This is ready to run without gas in tank. I think it's pretty light now.
