which nitro engine?!?!?!
Hey everyone, so I'm in the market for a new .21 off road nitro engine. I have been in nitro for a while but I'm just looking for some feedback from other people. I previously ran team Orion and and I think it's time for a change. I have somewhat narrowed it down to 2 brands, OS and Novarossi. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

You really can't go wrong with the Novarossi motors, they are widespread here in the US and you can readily get parts, there are knowledgable shops / distributors that service them - i.e. tuning and modification. It seems as though there are more vendors catering to the Nova motors than ever. The best thing, is that they are reliable, hold a tune well and are backed by a great company. Also the guys here on rctech in the Nova thread are always willing to help with information and tips when it comes to plugs or spare parts that may fit accross motor lines.
OS is awesome too, it just does not seem as though they are as widespread, and the parts are not as readily available at times - given that they have less shops / vendors carrying the spares. I love OS, they tend to have great fuel economy and power, yet there seems to be more of a presence by Novarossi and the Nova based affiliates.
Just my 2 cents.

Check out the Fusion X brand of engines. Novarossi based engines (built in Nova factory using all Nova parts) Very affordable yet very very reliable and great power bands. Check out the thread on here or www.houstonsengineservice.com

Im not sure where you picked up the Triton engine from because there are only ten of them in existence to date. Collin Weatherholt has one and it is phenomenal. He has raced it two times and it makes lots of smooth usable power and gets superb runtime. It is the best engine we have ever ran followed closely by the Picco 5TR.

Yep, that throw-away Triton comment definitely sounded dubious... They just came out. And the Piccos have had a massively good and positive rep the last few years...
