I was wondering what are the gains of doing away with the front upper arm and using a single turn buckle bolted to the shock tower? I don't have the avid shock towers as I am turning this rc8.2 into a dirt oval car.

From my knowledge it was not just to replace the arm with a link. There is an additional hole. I believe it was to get more front end grip by raising the front roll center more than the original pills would allow you to.
