Thanks to Rocket42 & tex1 again for all the opinion & comment. How I wish I could get you guys a coffee or beer. Anyway, have a coffee or beer on me still(virtual, that is ). If you guys do ever intend to come over to this side of the globe, please do keep me informed without fail. Let me show you the delicious seafood here.

Rocket42 is right, but don't ditch the alum. radio cover. Keep it strictly for photo taking session. Our retailer did not bring in the plastic version parts,
so I took my frustration out on this alum. cover 'real hard'.
Will post a pic. to show what I meant when I have the time.

Here's some pics of the track from this weeks racing...The first one is going into the first turn. The "blue/black groove" doesn't really show up in the pics as dark as it was that day, but you get the picture!! And they say Midwest dirt won't blue groove.....

It was slicker than greased nose juice!!!

Also, if you go a few pages back in this thread, you can see some pics of what the track normally looks like...

Brad,

Got another Hyper 8 on the way, it was eating me up that I sold that one to you. I have a Ninja .21 sitting here waiting to go in it, HAHA. This thread is mega informative and one of the main reasons I decided to get a Hyper 8 again. They are very capable cars, just a matter of being patient with mine and get it dialed in.

Here is a video of my CRT at our local track. I had the Ninja in it that day. The bottom end was a little soft for the CRT, but it should compliment the Hyper 8 pretty well.

I don't know if you guys would have any insight on setup, trust me....it will be greatly appreciated!!

Hey Seann;
Sweet!! I know I sure have been enjoying the H8!!! By far the best bug I have even owned, and I like having something that's not considered to be the "bandwagon" at the present time...lol.
Rocket posted a good base set-up a page or two back that I have my current set-up based on. I just change a few things here and there for whatever the track conditions are that particular weekend, but nothing to big normally. So, I would recommend starting with that, and "personalizing" it from there.
Looks like a fun track on your vid!! But I hate to see ya get away from the RB engine...lol..

Oh ya....welcome back!!!...lol. The H8 is awesome in my opinion!!!

HAHA! Trust me Pato I am no engine tuner by anymeans, I just try and keep it running under 250 and I am happy.

The temp that day was 97 degrees and mega humid......we live right on two rivers, the Ohio and the Muskingum. I'll have it tuned better by the time I get in the Hyper 8.

Brad,

Don't worry, I have a C6BB going in the CRT.......................

Hey Panther the basic setup that Rocket posted a few pages back is a really solid setup!!!I am running that setup and did minor changes to it to acomodate my driving style and track conditions for the weekend. Have a little bit of patience and you will love your H8 once its dialed in!!! After I changed to the setup that Rocket posted my car its in contention for the A-Mains at my track. The only thing I need to get dialed on my car is the driver behind the control LOL!!!!
Take care guys and thanks to everyone that has posted information on getting the H8 a better car specially Rocket!!!!you guys are the best!

Guys thought I would post and say this is one of the most informative threads I go on, no bitching that hypers are the best and others are crap.
I checked my Proline molded inserts the other day and they had turned to dust as noted a coulpe of pages back.
Just set up the hyper 8 to your standard setup Rocket will see how it goes.
Cheers.

Alright guys I finally received my M11 and steering servo yeehaaa.I was all set to put this bad boy together on Saturday except it appears that I have to work overtime this weekend, first time in 1 1/2 years go figure. But the timing could not be better for my checking account after I just spent my wad on all this awsome stuff.Well maybe I will be able to put it together Sunday! It`s going to be in the 100s this weekend so it is going to be smokin outside which equals perfect time to sit in the AC and put this thing together. Can`t wait to barrage all of you with questions thank again guys for all the help.

Talking New car build....

I'll just highlight some of the things you should consider while you are building.
1. place 1/8" spacer under the outside of the steering linkage and locktight the screw.
2. Shim the servo saver post. They will be very sloppy in the kit.
3. shave the middle nipple on the right side guard. It will hit your throttle servo.
4. Be ready to do the 4mm screw & nut modification on the wing. Every one I have seen has pulled out.
5. Make sure your motor does not hit the chassis or you will break the motor case.
6. Get some stiffer springs.
7. Might want to put an Xray tank in your box as a back up. Every tank has broken here in Texas.
8. Take your droop screws out and grind them flat so they do not dig into the chassis.
9. Get you a long Steering servo horn to get max steering.
Have fun,
TEX
