Losi 8 3.0 rx battery options
 

Hi guys I'm after some options for the receiver battery for both of my tlr cars I would prefer not to go lipo as I don't like the thought of my cars going up in smoke.

So I'm after a LiFe or LiOn battery that will fit in the battery box for my 8 3.0.

I have seen more LiFe RX packs go than lipo ones so dont be afraid of a lipo rx pack.

You will get better replies if you post in the specific thread...

Losi 8 3.0 or the Losi 8T 3.0 threads.

But since Im here, and run Losi's, I would suggest....

TrackPower 1900 LiFe packs. Been running them since middle of last year and have not had a problem. Hour long run times on 1 charge and no need to run HV Servos.

I have been using the HobbyKing nano LiFe packs, never had any problems, much safer than LiPo, & the extra .6v makes the standard servo's move a little faster.
Seen plenty of pics, video & reports of LiPo fires, don't need to use fire safe bags for LiFePO4 pack either, much more stable.

This is the one I use ATM, in both my JQ buggy & my brothers JQ buggy, been good so far with no issues & they last a while.

I have used the hobbyking 1700 life great battery.
I left my switch on and killed it....
I been using this for over a year no issues and its cheap....

I have used their lipos in planes for years... not the best but they do fine.

I know it's crazy but I've been doing this for years and not had a problem, I've been going on eBay finding lipos ranging from 900-1100mah that fit and I save huge amounts of weight and usually get 1 hour on my batteries till there needing charge. I had 2 that lasted me since 2012 and I only paid 5 bucks each pack. I w decided now I'll just buy 5-7 of them and never worry about it cause I have gone through atleast 10 of the expensive losi 2000mah lipos batteries and just can't afford that problem anymore. This is the way to go all the way around especially cause u save so much dam weight.
