Default Xpert electronic switch

I know many people dont run power switches but I always have (no failures in 15ish years I've running nitros knock on wood) and decided to give the Xpert switch a shot.

Entering programming mode is quite simple and allows you to set the battery type so the low voltage indicators work properly. The switch turns on instantly with a single press of the power button and shuts down after holding it down for a couple seconds.

I spent about seven hours at the track yesterday working on setups. During that time, the low battery indicator was triggered and it came on at the rated voltage (6.85v in this case). This is displayed with a constant blue (power on indicator) and red LED. I probably should have taken it down to the low voltage indicator (the LEDs blink) to see how that worked but I had a break while working on the buggy so I tossed the battery on the charger.

The mounting tabs match the universal transponder mounts which was pretty handy (my transponder is usually inside the battery tray). With the tabs removed, the switch is fairly small and can be mounted just about anywhere.

That pretty cool. I too have never had problems with using switches on my cars.

Where did you get the switch? I can't find it anywhere.

Does it eat amps in off mode? Is it safe to leave battery plugged between weekends?

I've left it plugged in thus far. I dont believe it sucks up power while off but it's possible. I'll check the manual again and see if it says anything. As stated in another post, it is available from amain.

Its say at the bottom it does consume a small amount of power in standby.

I've been running these switches in both of my nitro Mugens and so far they are pretty boss. They do eat a little while sitting, so I take the batteries out of the cars between race days (they are lipos, you should do this anyways). Pretty awesome switch with little to no chance of failure like older switches

4 local weekend races and 1 "big" event until now, 0 glitches.

As Mark and others have mentioned, there is a small drain when plugged in, even if off. So definitely play it safe and unplug when not using for a long time.

They are available through A Main and also our shop site, see my sig below. Dealers can also contact us directly about direct sales.

Switch as been really great, haven't seen any issues and its a good bit less than some of the others on the market.

Not good for those running lipos. Chance of draining your lipos too much.

From Saturday to this morning (Tuesday), there was zero measurable voltage drop. I suppose if your car is sitting for an very long time, this would be an issue but I cant imagine it is too difficult to disconnect the battery if this is a concern.

Not trying to hijack your thread but this switch is basically the same but has a lipo cut-off.
