Orion crf .21 5 port
What's up everyone I'm having a little issue tuning this beast I've had nitro cars for a long time I completely understand tuning I just can't get my car to drop down to idle after a full speed run it stays idling a little high then after 5 to 8 seconds drops down to where it should be idling from my understanding I needed to lean it out a little more but I've done it till its to lean I've tried over and over it just doesn't work and I don't go crazy with the hsn it's tuned till that high pitched sound starts at full throttle basically as fast as it will go till I do t notice any more performance and is their any way to tell buy sound if that's to much or not enough

Thanks guys I'll give it a try I was watching a couple videos of pro driver tuning and their cars drop right down to idle really nicely

Set your idle gap to .5-.7 mm. Then leave the idle screw alone. Set your top end so it is just a touch on the rich side to start when make full throttle pass. Then adjust your bottom end to get the idle right. Usually rpm hang is a result of being to lean on the top end.
Your engine will always tell you what it needs. Rpm hang or high rpm is a result of a lean condition, a rich condition will usually result in a low rpm situation. So you are most likely lean on top, and possibly a little rich on the bottom.

Combined with the typical leaky Orion carb.
