So I am a used to running the k car... I want to try the xray cars and I like the first round of the buggy...

Since xray comes out almost every year with a new version, are the kits small changes typically or one of those when you need to buy a new kit? I am on the fence on getting the truck since I run maybe once a month...

the changes recently were pretty major..

2014, changed from xb9, to xb8 with a vertical pillowball setup.. then in 2016, they changed from that setup to a more traditional pillowball setup.. since then 2017, the car has been upgraded.. updated front end parts, updated rear end parts.. all these changes worked on the 2016 chassis..

i dont see any changes from the 17 to the 18 that would warrant a whole chassis change.

I'm currently running Kyosho blues all round on my XB8 with 1.3 x 6 holes pistons and the car feels planted

Default Body

Does anyone use the buttydesign Force body on their 17 spec xb8? Does it require much trimming?

Has anyone tried any aftermarket brake springs on the stock break set up? Or is everyone just upgrading to the Xray ones? These stock ones seem out dated and get stuck sometimes it feels

I've been running the orange hyper pads that come with a spring for years now, they last a loong time, and for me, cheaper than the upgraded xray pads

My guess is it will have the HD diffs, new rear hubs, narrower rear pivot, slightly revised front end with revised steering geometry
