I had a D8t and have regretted selling it almost every day. Easy to build, easy to drive and easy to work on and performed well compared to the higher priced truggys.

If you plan on doing any racing the future get the D8T. Yo can beat that truugy up and it will keep on going and it is also a very good race truggy that is capable of winning on any level.

Out of the trucks u listed the d8t is by far the best, but there really hasn't been any new truggies since 2010 so its easy to find a used truggy for less than 300 and some even rtr , I would look for xray xt8, or mugen mbx6t the kyosho is good but its expensive and more for just race mugen and xray are the most durable, the losi drives really good from the box if u can find a 2.0 kit they where sellling for 299, but losi wears out faster than the other cars

Make sure and get the 2009 version of the XT8 if you get the XRAY. They made some upgrades. I just got one, new in box, and got it all worked out. So far so good. The guys in Texas that run it say it's indestructible. The only thing I changed was the upgraded to the aluminum steering knuckles. It turns quite nicely for sure. I'm not quite fond of the toe plate hinge pins being held in with C-clips, but I hear there may be a new model coming out soon. Same with the Mugen.

Had the d8t a few years ago. Don't know if anythings changed since I had it. Drove awesome once set up with one of ty's setups, but I had some gripes. Most parts required to do race setups were a mishmash of finding other brands parts and make them work because HB didn't have anything available. Springs, sway bars, etc..
The plastics never broke. I'll give them that but got pretty sloppy and loose.
Front center driveshaft got real sloppy and worn out. Switched to a mugen part made it better. Also recommend using heat shrink on the driveshaft DVDs because they started having problems coming loose and costing me race days. The heat shrink keeps them together.
I know it sounds bad but I really did like the truggy.

I bought a Brushless Truggy Kit last month on my friend's suggestion. and I don't think it's a bad choice.
