Are Kyosho Inferno ST parts interchangeable with newer kits?

I recently got a Kyosho Inferno ST US Sports roller for dirt cheap and want to convert it to electric to bash. I'm just afraid of breaking things because I don't see much intentory for parts. I did read that the diffs can be replaced with the MP777 I believe. But, does anyone know whether I can use these parts interchangeably with something near like the Neo ST?
