Pretty much.... Most cleaners contain some amount of alcohol which can shrink the diff O-rings and cause them to leak...

If you happen to get a drop or 2 of "old oil" in the new stuff, I doubt you will be able to tell. Just wipe the parts clean like Dyno said. Maybe a couple Q-tips to get in the corners....

Just be careful about lint from the cloth rags. The blue shop paper towels work well. And cheap too. $4 for 2 rolls.

Anyone have any idea what size screws are used for the split diff. I just ordered 10 5-40X1 1/2 and it's the wrong thread. The length should be fine. Maybe 4-40's?

Joe, they are 4-40 X 1 1/4. Don't know how much longer if you are using the M2C brace.

He said he grabbed some 4-40x1 1/2 screws. Hasn't said how they worked yet. If the brace is a 1/4 inch thick, then they should be fine since the stock ones are 1 1/4.

Have fun the Supercross. I tried and begged and pleaded the wife to let me go with the kids. Its her birthday tomorrow. I said what better gift than a house all to yourself Needless to say, we will be watching it on Fox.

Use a button head instead of the one that comes with the M2C kit . It hits the body.

That's funny my wife begged me to take her to Metlife to Supercross but she wanted to leave the kids at home so we got a sitter . I wanted to go to Trains and Lanes in Easton for their opener Sunday instead and race the buggy. Getting old could not do both this weekend. Double headers in two states in one weekend use to be the norm!

Ran the buggy today after getting everything where I want it. What a good handling car, coming from SCT. Put the E buggy tower on and it made such a difference from the last time when I had the regular nitro tower it's incredible. Everything was going great, getting more and more confident with the car and the engine decides it wants to start throwing a bearing and the clutch decided to act up so decided to call it a day. 7+ gallon P5XLT, maybe it's time to let this engine retire and get another.

Yes I ordered the 4-40 X 1 1/2 for the split center diff. I made the mistake and ordered the 5-40's 1st so i'm waiting for the correct ones to show. They will be here tomorrow or Tuesday.

Hi wanted to post here as this thread is a little busier than the truggy thread.

was wondering if anybody could recommend a good glow igniter and a good starter box pack for the losi starter box? And what reciever pack would you recommend? 6.6v or 7.4 volt? hump pack or straight pack? running a 7 port orion motor.. also the pack im looking at 4 the started box is a small 4s pack. how would you wire that up in the starter box being that it has 2 plugs for 2 2s lipos? Is there adapter or do i rewire everything? thanks for any help guys

links to the products from amain.com would be awesome

1. Igniter.....http://www.amain.com/rc-cars/search?cID=&s=hotshot

2. Starter box battery.....http://www.amain.com/rc-cars/starter...-lithium/c1347

3. RX battery.....cant use a straight pack. It wont fit. If you run HV servos, get a 2 cell LiPo. If not, get either a LiFe or NiMh hump pack
Lipo.....http://www.amain.com/rc-cars/lrp-vte...430350/p291955
Other.....http://www.amain.com/rc-cars/reedy-l...asc638/p193614

For the starter box wiring, You could just run two, 2 cells and be just fine. I do it all summer. Then when the winter comes, those same batteries go into my electric cars. But basicly, you would cut the loop out of the plug so you only have 2 wires going to the motors, one positive and one negative.
