I've had the Losi and lots of guys at track run it, another friend has Serpent. I would take my XRAY XB9 over both of those without hesitation. My old 808 I would take over both a Losi or Serpent as well. I've got parts still in bag because you never need them. My friends are always having something break or wear out.

I went with the Serpent because the Losi tends to wear out outdrives/cvd pins at an alarming rate. Not sure about the X-Ray so I can't really say much about them. I do like my Cobra 2.0 on track though.

I ran losi last year and xray this year.

I liked the losi, I think that the car is good out of the box, but upgrades like the inclined steering blocks and adjustable hinge pin mounts are nice to have.

The xray is much more competitive out of the box and is more adjustable than the losi. I ran my car box stock except for kyo 1.3x8 pistons and kyo lt blue springs front and orange rear. Later on I got the 5 degree inclined spindles but I think there a tuning option not a necessity. The xray is much higher quality kit and I haven't had one dnf due to part failure.

Drive train on both are very free, and I've gotten similar mileage with both cars. Wear is similar and depends on maintenance more than anything.
The only excessive wear on both is the center front drive shaft.

Thanks for the replys. I have a losi 8ight e AT the moment and was just seeing if it was worth selling and buying and xray or just keeping it and converting it to nitro.

Xray without a doubt. The Xray is a all new platform and performs unbelievably on the track. The Losi is dated in comparison though still a good car.
As for parts wear and reliability, you can't match Xray. It's known as the most durable car out there for a reason.

Because I don't want to get a car that hasn't been tested yet and reviewed by others. But I might just wait until it comes and see how people like it. I just wanted to know everyone's thoughts on these 3. Xray, losi and serpent

The MBX7 is probably better than the other 3 choices.

But the Losi is not up to par with Serpent/Mugen. I have no experience with Xray. The Serpent is probably your best bet out of the 3 but the MBX7 is probably better, being that Mugen made the MBX7 specifically to be better than any other car out at the moment. And team drivers have been driving the MBX7 testing it for a long time now.
