This is the classic issue with Ty's set ups. You get on the gas too soon and the rear end wants to spin. Certain track layouts will cause the tank slapper issue. Happened on our track's last layout. I know exactly what you're talking about LoL. ... and yes, feels good everywhere else.

It has to do with the way Ty sets up his rear end. If you have the reactions, eyesight and skill of Ty you'd be fine.

With in the last couple of pages another poster had the same spin issue. I sent him a set up sheet. He said he really liked how the car performed.

I'm going to send you a PM

Would you mind send me the set up sheet as well? The issue is still haunting me. Much appreciated!

I'm looking for a measurement on the one piece wing mount if someone could help me out. I need the height and width of the 4 screws where the wing mount attaches to the shock tower. Thanks in advance.

You can use any, mount the link on top of the servo horn and you'll just have to shim up the link where it mounts to the servo saver arm. Tessman does that, look at some pics of his cars.

SEF- did u every find a bag of replacement pins for the cvd's? I measured the pin to be 2.5x13mm. I bought some X-Ray ones, but they were a tad short. Although they don't have the flat spot, had they been long enough, they'd have be fine for the axles for the wheels.

I'm building a D812 and found something odd with the R/F Toe Block...

The head of the M3.5x14 screw which is supposed to hold it on to the bulkhead doesn't fit...

I tightened it anyways to see if it would go in which it did but it removed some aluminum from the Toe Block... I'm wondering if it's normal in this kit or do I have a bad Toe Block? ( And yes.. It is the right screw... )

Here's Some pictures of what I mean:

Thanks in advance for the help!

Looks like the toe block was machined wrong.

I've always been a fan of the hot bodies quality but this kit.... Meh...

Besides this toe block problem I also got a bad left caster block in the kit... The top hole where the pin goes in to hold the spindle is machined crooked... Like it's pointing inwards to the point that the spindle rubs on to the caster block...

Is there any way of getting warranty replacement on these parts?

I haven't found any 2.5x13mm. Mugen has 2.5x15mm which I grinded down with a cutting wheel. I've since switched to mugen universals all around and dog bones for the center drive shafts.

I know the Mugen universals came up earlier in the thread, but can u clarify if the D812 threaded wheel hex sub axle thing can be used still?

Serpent sells 2.5x13's also, but I'm not sure how exacting the measurements are and I don't want to buy it if it's not going to fit. The cvd's don't really bug me that much. With the boots on and lots of grease they've been fine.
