Hot Bodies D812

When is it going to be on the USA site? I'm interested in trying to find out all the parts I'd need to update my Ve8 to 812 specs.
Though I'm really just wanting the adjustable front/rear suspension mounts.

The US release is coming soon, meanwhile you can get a list of the new part numbers from the european website.
http://www.hpieurope.com/parts.php?l...&partNo=109428
Also, the distance between the hingpin holes on the new mounts are different from the D8/VE8. You'll need to update all suspension components to d812 spec to make everything work correctly.

Hi all,
The press release mentioned some key features of the D812 but we try to keep those press releases short and simple. Here are some other key features of the D812 that racers would appreciate:
Drivetrain:
Lightweight, straight-cut diff gears
Lightweight spur gear.
Longer CVD bones with boots and captured drive pins (no set screw needed)
Lightweight aluminum axles
Shocks:
Same basic design as previous D8 shocks but with much longer stroke
New spring sets
New shock towers to maximize up-travel and down-travel
Front suspension:
Monocoque arms that can be tuned for flex by varying the arm covers
Zero degree kingpin inclination with 4 degree option
Changeable steering knuckle arms for Ackermann adjustment (Four types available during release with possibly more coming).
Adjustable kickup angle
Adjustable wheelbase (front arm position)
Rear suspension:
Adjustable inner hinge pins – height & anti-squat (all inserts included in kit)
Optional inboard rear toe-in blocks available. (3.0 degree is standard, 2.0, 2.5, 3.5 optional)
Adjustable outboard hinge pins – height & outboard toe. (all inserts included in kit)
Adjustable wheelbase (rear arm position)
Steel chassis skid plate insert
The kit is pretty much what Ty Tessmann won the ROAR Nats with, except for some hop-ups like titanium screws, Upgrade wing, and Bulldog body. He also ran Kyosho springs at the time but HB now has a new spring set which our drivers are currently using at the Worlds.
Most but not all parts can be retrofitted to older D8 family of cars (D8, Lightning, Vorza, Ve-8, Apache); and vice-versa most but not all options for those previous cars can be fitted onto the D812.
For those also interested in electric 1:8 the HB team fitted the D812 front and rear clips to a Tekno chassis for the ROAR electric nats which Tessmann also won. It’s not a direct bolt-on fit but with a dremel and some patience you can replicate what the team ran.
That’s the initial kit release but we’ll be continuously developing new parts to keep pace with the competition. In fact our guys are running some of them now in Argentina.

price will probably be slightly higher than the Hara edition because the new car is equipped with more items and with more aluminum components. release dates i don't know.
