Default Help choosing a buggy for my aggressive driving style

Okay. I been racing for about 5 years and ran nothing but Losi's. The truggy is great and is not a problem. The buggy on the other hand is different. I feel like I have to baby it all the time. When I try to push it, I cant control it the way I want. So I am thinking about changing the buggy to something else.

I only searched a few pages back but didnt find nothing. Im looking for personal experience from anyone that made a change that I am looking for.

I hear Kyosho is a great buggy that can be driving aggressive and thats what I am thinking about right now. Looking for more input though.

well I drive harder than most... I am either full throttle or full brake and not much inbetween at all. cars to drive hard....
kyosho (can be driven both ways actually
Durango, still cant manage to break it.
Mugen, IMO best car to drive hard and get away with it.
only way I could get the losi around was to run 5K in the rear diff

mike i had the same prob with my losi. the last day i raced it i tried 5k in the rear and it was a totally different car. then i switch to serpent. with the first version i had it felt better to me on the first lap i ever drove. then a few weeks ago i got the serpent 2.0 rear conversion and it was even better. last time at the hut was the first time i qualified fast with my buggy than my truggy.

5K in the rear? I might have to try that this weekend.

Are you going to be at the Hut this weekend? If so, can I take your serpent for a few laps?

The serpent buggy makes it alot easier to run hard. I'm about to put the 2.0 conversion on as well. I can't wait to see what it does. I also just put a new anodized chassis and the new radio tray with the extra screw. It is a way stiffer chassis now. Looking forward to see how it drives now.

I'm using the bce chassis. That made the car better also.

Setup. It's easy to make a car slower.

I'm pretty confident that an Xray Xb9 with +1 rear hubs and 3 stripe springs is going to be hard to beat.

I am more impressed with my MP9 TKi3 every time I drive it. Way easier to drive hard than the Durango. You have to pick the right tires and setup to match your style but that seems easy with the K car. For me the price was worth it.

The Serpent is more stable for harder driving and quality of build and parts is more durable than anything else - I went kyo, ttr/mug, serpent. And look at their beautiful Truggy, I wish they'd make one in elec style !!

i have had alot of cars in 14yrs of racing even off brands like crono and bergonzoni, and the team c t8 and t8e are awesome, build it and drive it i hammer mine and the only thing i changed this year is the clutch bell bearings and clutch shoes i am still running the same plastic from the pnb race in unadilla ga. there are a lot of competitive buggies on the market and it can be overwhelming choosing but the team c has alittle to offer from alot of different cars check it out at "teamcracing.net" the car is a little losi, mugen, xray mix to make a great buggy.

I would say give the serpent a trail run as suggested its a great platform and your able to push as hard as you wish. The 2.0 rear wow that's a big plus also
