The E guys won't pit at your track out of spite?

What kind of F'd up track is that? Please list 'em. I'm setting my travel schedule for next year, would be handy to know where NOT to go.

This is why I have trained my wife to pit for me in a pinch.....

I recently moved to Brazil from Michigan. I only raced electric in Michigan and always thought nitro was a little too much but still cool. In Brazil, where I live anyway, Nitro is the only racing off-road right now. So I popped for a new RC8.2 with Reedy 121VR engine and started to practice and prep for racing. Here the only real racing is a Championship series that costs about $50 in entry fee. Some of that fee pays for young guys that marshal for us. So this leaves the hobbiests to pit for each other. Brazilians are so nice and helpful and love to pit for each other so I have not had any issues. Things are so different down here!

Have to agree that E guys can be real babies. Recently, when the E mains were 7 minutes and the nitro mains were 15 minutes, the E guys complained that they didn't want to marshal that long.

Last time I had to use a noob for a pitman, he almost burned out my starter box trying to start my buggy which he put backwards on the box.

If i was race director at my track or not i would not allow spite to flow around between classes. Would be time to dust off the ban hammer.

When I have a noob like that pitting for me, I make sure he stands next to someone I know can pit. Usually if that other person isn't fueling, and I have a problem, the vet will jump in and get me going. I know I do the same for others in pit lane.

Also when I know pitting is going to be an issue, I make damn sure my motors are good before I head up to the stand.

I think Brazil just has plain better taste in racing. And a better feel for what it is all about.

Too many racers in the US don't "get it". That's why Brazil has had a F1 race every year for as long as I remember and the US hasn't.

At our track, everyone seems to be willing to help out. Now the turn marshals for nitro is something else. They seem scared. I guess they are afraid of getting a finger in the fan belt or something.

Suck it up E guys !

I think it's sad that E-babies complain about nitro mains being 45 minutes etc..
Why don't they just get nitro cars, if they are that jealous of us?

The only.times I've been turned down for pit help is from a noob, the expert guys are always willing to help. I find pitting for people way more fun than sitting around doing nothing waiting for your next run.

We dont have any issues or bad blood with our classes and our director is a awesome guy. I think its a effort on everyones parts and was looking for ideas. I like the comment about showing people how to pit etc and setup prior. I would love to come to race knowing everyone is covered makes it much easier.

I have actually pitted my self once. I pulled off the backside of the track and ran down filled up, ran back up and off I went. Lucky not to stall and I was a tired pup when done. It sucked but I was able to race.

Now I am no noob but I am trying the E buggy this year just to try it. I have only had an issue with a pit man when my friends dont attend the same race. I usually pit for my truggy buddy or someone that is in different class of nitro. I know of some tracks near me that want to push out the Nitro cars then I will not be racing at them. Like I said Im trying the e buggy out and if I dont like it ill just stay with nitro buggy.
