Hey guys I was just wondering on your thoughts of the Pro .28 if its good enough and if not what would be good to replace it with on an SC8

Tons of good options. Dream options would be an OS 25XZ or Novarossi Roma , or for a bit less dough but still big power, an Alpha A352 .23, or even the Alpha A852.. OS or Picco 28 with +2 on the CB would be cool too.. I even like the relaly cheap .28's from SH like the Losi 454/LRP Spec 3, and the Dynamite Big Red .28. There are tons of options. Depends on your priorities, budget, what exactly you're looking to do, etc..

OS 28 or 25xz would be my top picks for that truck.

The pro .28 makes a good boat anchor that's about it. I had the os .25 which i loved but it didn't last very long maybe 2 gallons. I just put the new picco boost .28 in my SC8 and that engine is simply amazing... Hope this helps

Good enough for what? Bashing, racing?

This is a RTR engine, I had few of them, easy to tune and performs well.

Why not just run the Pro .28 few gallons then buy a better engine and keep the Pro28 as spare engine

My intention is for bashing, I wouldn't mind an engine that doesn't cut out when my truck stacks off of a jump hoping there is a more reliable engine.
