Bearings

I was running my Losi 8ight 2.0, and i noticed that there was a whining noise coming from it at all most full throttle. My guess would that a bearing is going bad or is already there. How can you tell if a bearing is bad? An were would be a good spot to start looking bc i hate to tear apart a diff an waste an hour doing it.. Clutch is good..

What would be good bearings for it, i need something that last. Not to worried about that price. Just need good recommendation.

Thanks for help..

Start pulling things apart and feeling the bearings to see if they are gritty, hang anywhere, sloppy, or if any sound different.
What I do is pull the motor out and center diff. The center diff bearings are easy to check and you've then isolated the front drive train from the rear.
Start spinning things and see if it's free and listen for noises. A bad bearing is typically pretty easy to spot.

For replacements, you can't beat Avid RC. Great bearings and super cheap.

Are you running it in the grass?...could be your clutch shoes ...slipping...making that whining sound.
