Default Am I CORR truck conversion crazy ?

Yep , after seeing mine my son had me convert his Thunder Tiger EB4 S2 into a CORR truck , it took all of 2 hours too do and I didnt have to make any parts except the front skid plate .

First some wide shots of the chassis .....

And the front bumper and how its mounted , I used a Slash front bumper and a REVO body mount , I made the skid from 2 inch x 1/8 inch aluminum bar .

The rear bumper is from a Slayer , and was mounted using the bolts that run though the diff cases , no mods or extra fabrication to get it to fit .

Now some shots with the un painted body , should be painted in a couple of days ....

What do you guys think ? Am I CORR truck conversion crazy ? [X(]

Thumbs up CORR truck crazy?Naahhhh!

Dude that thing looks pretty sik!I love the way 1/8 buggies look CORR style.I bet it's alot of fun too.I'm waiting for parts to convert my ravager also.By the way what kind of tires are those? They look more like a truck tire than most buggy tires,i'm probably going to run proline knuckles on mine.Sweet ride man, sweet ride.

Looks good, on the TT I'd race the front of the body more.

Are you using a Truggy chassis? Or just dropped a SC body on a Buggy?

oow oow, I want to build one!

I have an old buggy, or would it be better to start with a buggy?

Since AE started this class, they have set the standard. I would say you need the long wheelbase of a truggy, with the short suspension arms of a buggy. Its a hybrid.

well I sat my Slash body on the Mutt and the wheel base is off a bit and the wheels stick out just a tad...is the SC8 body any bigger than the slash?

The SC8 body is longer. I am using SC8 wheels. The Slash and Slayer are 1/10, while the SC8 is 1/8.

I ordered my clear Sc8 body this morning Will the Sc8 tires fit a buggy style rim or are they different?Thinking about using these rims for my conversion

ohh and I found these body mounts might work on some others without too much modding

think I will get the Ofna wheels and a set of Proline Moabs for it...should look fairly scale, handle good and cost less than they are asking for just the Sc8 rims.
