Post TLR 8ight 2.0 Sport Roller?

Having just purchased an 8ight-T RTR , I'm hooked. But i still want a buggy. I have everything i need to get one going except the chassis and motor. Yes, i could buy a used roller but I'd like a new vehicle and the Race Roller is not practical for what i want.

So, this thread is mainly to gauge interest in a Sport Roller, or even better, a Sport Kit. No bump box, no TX/RX, no servos, no rx battery, nada. Not even a painted body. Just like the RTR without the extras.

Is there anyone else interested in this idea?

That is the 8Ight 2.0 kit exactly.

No, it's not. Thats a $600 race ready vehicle.

I'm talking about the RTR roller w/o anything. No TFT chassis, no special shock towers, no extra wheels, no vented shock caps, nothing like that.

The market for a product like that is probably pretty small. Most people who are interested in an RTR chassis generally don't have, or won't want to buy, an engine, servos, radio system, starter box, etc all separately. In your situation, you are best off looking at used rollers or selling your existing gear and picking up another new RTR buggy.

Maybe so but it's a niche that could be explored.

I'm gonna shop around ebay of course but I still thinks it's a viable idea.

Just saw that Serpent is thinking along my lines.... With the S811Cobra Sport Kit. $329.

I'd love to see a TLR 8ight 2.0 Sport Kit go for maybe $250 and maybe a pre-assembled roller for $299.

Get the the serpent then, it's a great kit. At least the non-sport version is awesome.

That's pretty cool! They've obviously done some research and determined that there are more buyers like yourself.

Where did you see it for $329? A-main is showing $389 for me...
