I suspect part of the reason many people say that is nothing more than the blind assumption that something made by Italians has to be better than something made by Japanese.. Nevermind that LRP for ex. changed their race engines from Picco to OS..

If I were going to deck out an RC8.2, I'd go with an Alpha Z852 with 0801 pipe or Werks B6 with 2058(maybe Nova or OS if I found a deal..), and Hitec 7955 servos. As already mentioned, Hitec's last forever.. I do have a Savox 1258 rebadged twin(Spektrum H6040) on gas/brakes in an Ofna DM-1, and it's been great. I currently have an Airtronics on gas/brake in my RC8.2/RC8T that is starting to act up, so my next servo to replace it will be another Savox 1258. I'd probably even consider one on steering in buggy - less torque than some say you need(I'm skeptical you need 20+ kilos of steering on a buggy..), but really quick.. Great value for money (fast!) - and I don't run lipos anyway..

Yes. Everytime I mix brands I get exhaust leaks.

Right now I have an OS pipe and engine with a Nova header......Yup, It leaks. I'll have to get the Mugen short compact header and try that.

OS/Mugen fit good, same stuff.

RB/Nova/Fusion fit good, same stuff.
