MBX6R Build and Setup Tips and Suggestion
Hi since i haven't seen the build suggestion for this amazing car i decide to make one.
and yes there's MBX6 thread already but 1000++ pages to compile a good build that won't work for.
so here it is if you're an expert post it here your Tips and suggestion. i'll quote your suggestion and put it in the 1st pages so it'll help others too ok here we go
here's my suggestion CMIIW
1. The DIFF.
don't use the o' ring ( the small o ring). some says if you use the small o'ring it will feel like adding 5k from your current oil. says if you are using 7k oil for the diff and with the o'ring it will be 12k. CMMIW.
2. using velcro for battery holder way.. faster than using cableties
3. using part E0160 for both upper and lower knuckle pivot ball instead of using E0142/1 (upper pivot ball) way easier to have a consistent tuning. use shimm to make tuning. no calipers needed anymore .
4. whenever there's an o'ring to seal oil (diff or shock) use AE green slime. got a good seal and your o ring will live longer, save bucks .
5. i use glue for mounting my gearbox on the chassis to seal it from dirt before i scew it. it's dirt proof
6. there's a hole around your knuckle wich is seal by screw u can use it to putt oil but don't forget to bloww it with air pressure after it.
7. shock boot keep fail you use balloon it's thinner and it's cheaper thinner so it is more consistent it's if you get it right it'll be your best shot than any shock boot mine won't fail until i change my shock oil and yet its cheaper again to save bucks
8. When you clean the car thoroughly don't forget to use metal cleaning compound for the suspension shaft and the shock shaft. yess till it shine like new again so it won't fail till you clean it again.
9. use CA for all your carbon made parts. the outer and the inner cut will do don't use for where the screw hole. it's not bullet proof but yess its stronger than not using at all. use a very thin CA i suggest
ok there's all i get from now i'll give more if i now new tipss thanks for anyone that giving me this tips already

10. Flip the inner hingepins round to the nut is on the outside of the car. You can do this on both the front and back, makes getting to the diffs much easier. You will need to cut a L shape 2mm allen key down to get at the hex in the end.

shock's tip.
when i use to drive my mbx6. that was one thing that make the car handle so Much better.
Replace the original shock bladders with the losi 8ight bladders.
and also the o-rings on the shock shaft replace with the losi 22 o-ring.
the shocks just Become so Smoot and the Rebound is much more Consistent.
losi bladders LOSA5430
losi o-rings TLR5074

How well do those O-Rings seal? Do they leak a lot?
Kyosho bladders also work very well as a replacement, btw.

I also put flat washers outboard on the front shock top mount to stop the shock from coming off.
I also found that my rear brace screw at the chassis was always loose at the end of the day, so I put a longer screw in and doubled the nut and now it stays tight.
Cheers
