I have been doing some research on trying to find a decent temp gun and not spend 300$ on a exergen gun. All my LHS didn't carry anything of great quality, so I'm doing a little search the Notthern Tools and Grainger supply then I decided to search on Orielly's auto parts and found this one.
Temp rang is like -32 to +468deg F and it has a great little pointer that will go right down inside of a cooling head of a nitro motor.. And for 25$ it's worth a try..
