Can't tech inspect tire foams.

We tried to inspect them by looking through the tires vent hole to see the color of the foam. But then racers learned to just glue a shred of red tire foam on top of thier foams and line it up with the vent hole.

Funny as H$(( seeing how fast a 2wd buggy driver pulls his car from the track when his rear tire comes unglued and there's a bit of blue foam sticking out.

Thank's for the feedback on this guys. Good news is that AARCMCC (Australian governing body) has taken note of all feedback and decided to not go ahead with the proposal at this time.

I must say it feels good to have a governing body that listens to the racers and makes the appropiate decisions.
Bravo AARCMCC.

In germany we have controlled Tires in nearly all non-national racing series.

For example here in Norther germany i run the Weser-Ems-Cup..8 races in the season.
We have to use the following Tires
Truggy: AKA I-Beam soft 38/ 4pcs ( normal price here: 60/4pcs)
Buggy: R&B Dragon soft 25 /4pcs ( Normal price here: 40)

Each race participant can buy 2 Sets of tires for the weekend and with the beginning of the quali rounds one set get marked and u have to use it for alle qual rounds and finals.

So here everyone uses the same premounts tires with a bis price discount.
This year ists a good thing..last year we had trouble with the truggy tires couse we had to run LRP Tires with half offset....big drawback for Losi truggies.

Wow. They really control rc racing tires?? There must really be some sore losers out there.

Rcracing isn't that danm serious.

But then again that's where society is moving. Governed/controlled everything so the losers can win to.

You forgot, that its a Hobby-Cup.

Before the tire rules we had some Teamdriver who cam with 10 and more sets of tires..most noobs where scared about such a waste of money.

so for a begeinner friendly racing series its good to have tire rules. they dont have to aks themself what tires they have to buy..just buy a set at race day and its good..

on the Buggy or Truggy nationals u could use as much tires u want..as usual

I remember when I first started I was one of those "one set of tires guys."
It is expensive. Now I keep 3 sets. That's all you really need for one local track. I'm still very competitve.

I like this idea cause I spend way too much on tires having a few set tire for all would be interesting.

sure..on ONE local track...we race on 8 different tracks..from astroturf...very loose tracks...high bite tracks..

how many sets that will be?
As i have a tire sponsor im sure it would be cheaper not to have controlled tires...but theres lots of youth driver...

Are youth drivers really expecting to beat sponsored or above-average drivers? Even with controlled tires?

No not really but there are always that %1 that can handle business.

Tires don't change driver skill level. The same guys that routinely beats me will beat me with controlled tires.

Only difference is I have one less excuse to use as to why my driving performance sucked.
Hahahaha.
