Default rc8t center driveline clip.

i am trying to remove the black clip that captures the cross pin in the senter driveline on a associated rc8t championship edition. i did not glue them and still cant get them off. i have tried flat screwdrivers and pliers, to try and pry it off. i can get it to spin in the groove. they just wont come off. is there a trick or seceret to getting them off. Also on the new rc8.2 buggy i notice they now use a o ring to keep the pin in. which i like much better. once i get them off could i just se any large o rimg that fits in the groove or did they change the part that holds onto the pinion gear in the differential to also have a dust boot. i looked the part nuber up and it is defferent since its aluminum on the .2 although it looks like the same part. thanks, chris

Use a screw driver to pry the ring off. Stick the blade against the groove and twist it against the ring. If this does not work use a second flat screw driver to spread the 2 ends of the ring then pry it off. I have only had to use 1 and twisted them off. In regards to the Oring on the RC8.2 I have just fitted the rings to mine as I have had a pin come out after the cover tore. I had had one heat to go and lost pin when the oring moved.
