Default 8ight 1.0 assistance

Good afternoon guys,

I'm looking at buying a used Losi 8ight 1.0, I've had a Jato but wanna get into some club racing and track racing so thought this might be a good starting point. I had a few questions, can I used 2.0 parts with the 8ight 1.0 to do some upgrading. Also just not too sure this is just too outdated to even compete with the local club. If anyone has any advice to improve it or some needed upgrades, thanks and have a great day.

Yes, almost all of the 2.0 stuff works on the 1.0 The main difference is the 2.0 has a 2mm longer chassis. So if you decide you want a new 2.0 chassis you will need a new rear driveshaft. If you get it, drive it how it is then goto the 8ight buggy thread and do some reading on what to upgrade.

Thanks for the help Travis, I'm absolutely gonna get it, he's asking $500 Canadian, but no way I'm gonna pay that, maybe $400 at the most, he says it's never used but still no way I'm about to pay 5bills for an older vehicle, have a good night.

I used to run a eight 1.0 buggy as nitro it jumped great handled good it did however need some hop ups on it . The stock setup to me sucked i think i messed with the rear hub tuning holes it . Its not the most stable buggy so it flavors a smooth driver on the throttle for sure !

Yea i would only pay $300 at most for it.

Just buy a 2.0, you can get them for a good, price used, as a rolling chassis. Don't buy a used engine though.
