They already offer the roller version, just be prepared to swap out most of the items for their nitro counterparts.

Also, I don't think that a roller would be a wise choice as there aren't many engine options available that would give you a noticeable gain.

One must question though, why would they release this truck under TLR and not throw some HD outdrives, adjustable hinge pin mounts, CF towers or at the very least the 3-shoe clutch. It's essentially a neutered RTR masked as a race vehicle.

Honu come by the Sandbox and run mine. Converted 810 long time ago. Right now truck has OS 18 with a Losi 16 clutch bell, Losi 4 shoe clutch out of a 8ight-T RTR, 43 tooth spur for a 8ight E 2.0 but before all that I ran it with all 810 guts and it rocked then it just rocks more now.

Thanks Jhawker808. I've got one on order and should be here soon. Yours must rip with that OS set up. Trying to make it out for the 2 day event. Hopefully see you then.

I think with the stock engine and the aftermarket 3 shoe clutch with the shoes made for this truck, the new +10% ones, you can keep up no problem.

What kind of problems were you getting with the ROSS system?

Alright hope you can make it next month to the sandbox, would be good fun to line up with the Great Honu again it's been awhile. Stock engine is fast but drop in a 3 shoe clutch and it will come alive. The fuel tank mod for me was a must and lets see some pics.

Got to drive this truck last weekend and love it! It drives like the electric version and handles great. I added an exhaust extension from a MGT to keep the oil outside of the body. The starting system works well and was easy to break in the motor.
Only problem I have is the run time.
I can only get about 4 minutes with the small fuel tank it comes with.
Looking to mod this for more fun time.

Can you link to that mtg extension you are talking about? Try the 8ight fuel tank - doubles the capacity

Here's the link for the exhaust extension http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ler-Outlet-MGT
Can you post a picture of the tank mod?

4 minute run times and exhaust pipe outlet under the body! What was the thought process in the planing stages of this kit Ryan? Just seems rediculous to me.

"Hmmm, looks like we have an excess of nitro parts for the discontinued Ten-T and 810 that we can't get rid of. I know! Toss them on the SCTE chassis and make a new vehicle, oh, and sell it under the TLR name so people will buy it."

Or something along those lines.

To address the low runtime issue, Pick up this and this and follow these instructions for longer run times and these for the exhaust outlet issue.

As much as I love my Ten-T there were too many mistakes made during design. This would probably account for it's poor popularity and lack of aftermarket support.
