Default How many turns for a starter box motor.

I am about to replace my starter box (Mugen) motors and want to know what motors to get?

Brushless all the way...

Just kidding. Some folks have found success w/ the Traxxas Titans (550 - 21T).

High turn 540 brushed motors are the best. 27t or higher usually cost as low as $15. You can get wild and put 55t rock crawler motors in there if you want. But like it was said above, Traxxas Titans work pretty well and can be had for way cheap.

I am using 23 turn stock racing motors for over 5 years by now. They do great!

55t's Stink is a Starter box, When the Losi box was around(gen 1) the motors would fail if you looked at them funny, So i tried the 55T route and sure it worked to a point. But Didn't have the RPM to bump tight motor's.

Id suggest the Traxxas route.

I just replaced the motors in my Mugen box with these. I should have done it a long time ago.
