Thumbs up Just to kill the thread.....

Chances are, every view was right in one way or another.

By the rule, Ty can not bump him out of the way. Phend had the right of way on the race line.

By the law of physics, Ty could not help it and that seems to be the measurable difference. The best counter to the rule of racing was that they were both fighting it out and going too fast to prevent the contact. Therefore the result should stand.

This is a good no call in my book.

And yes... This thread can die.

Great race though. Good to see the kids getting it done.

Thank you for your inputs,
TEX

I think this thread was very refreshing. It was a welcome departure from the "what buggy/truggy should I buy" or "what is the best buggy/truggy" threads that are started every 45 minutes.

Itís fun to Monday morning quarterback contested calls or plays. As simpleton as some of the arguments and statements were, things stayed relatively polite.

Thanks TEX for bringing this up...

+1....I thought it was a very good discussion.

We have the luxury of watching the video over and over, and analyzing it at a micro level. When I watched it the first time, in full speed, it was almost impossible to see every nuance of the pass. That's the view that folks there had when it happened.

Is this the only discussion on this topic on the World Wide Web?

No one who matters complained. It wasn't even mentioned..

Nothing wrong there at all. IMO, it's not always the fastest lap times that make the passes, sometimes it's a matter of beating the guy into the next corner, which is why line selection is key. Phend made a last ditch effort to beat Ty into the last corner, and it worked, but Ty was already committed to his line, they made contact, and Ty's momentum carried him past Phend.

I dont see a punt or anything there but good clean racing. It would be nice if everyone shared this mentality. That made for a photo finish, great racing...

I'm sure it wasn't intentional, but the fact still remains.

Great race, 45 minutes and it still came down to that. I only bad thing I see is I wish I was part of it.

In addition, if it were that bad, ROAR has a process for protesting also and not one person came forward with one.

it was a bold move of phend to get himself into such a position on the last corner and on that move alone should of won, Tessman left the barn door open not just your normal household item if you do that in racing (and i dont mean nascar i mean circuit racing) you have to expect to lose a spot, its the he had no choice comments that have me rolling on the floor in fits of giggles, here is a guy who can save wrecks by precise input through the TX set yet cant or didnt want to avoid a car in front of him on the track it might of only been a slight bump but it cost Phend the line and the run through to the finish, Phend put a classic block pass on TY, got past on the edge then had to almost stop himself to make the apex which he would of done without the little kiss from TY, was it exciting "do bears s**t in the woods" cause it was exciting but i bet Phend thought he should of won that race and feels it but wont ever say so.
