Default Hobao HYPER SS RTR or Intech BR-5 rtr

Hi

I am looking to get a entry level nitro buggy for my father for his upcoming b-day and the only RTR vehicles from the 2 hobbyshops I trust locally are the Hobao Hyper SS rtr and the Intech BR-5 rtr. Parts support is good for both cars.

My father is still very much a beginner in rc and the car will be used for track driving only(no real big jumps etc to break it on).

Any thoughts on the 2 models or better yet any owners that can share their experience? I cannot seem to find much info on both these vehicles.

Thanks in advance
