On another note, is ROAR Nats the North American championships? Ty isn't American, he's Canadian.
USA, Canada and Mexico make up "North America".

Congrats, Ty!

That was a great battle to the end. Watching it live was deffinetly worth the 7 hour drive, and nagging wife and screaming baby!

To put it in perspective for those who were not able to watch it in person ( and I dont mean on Live RC) the atmosphere at about 5 minutes in was complete insanity. Eveyone was talking about Maifield, Tebo, Cavalleri and Roberts as favorites. Even Scotty Ernst was suprised when Ty was out front. And when Maifield got by, alot of people said it was over. Then Ty got by and then flamed durring his pit letting Ryan back up front. It was EPIC! Then Wheller joined the battle. First thru 3rd were 2 seconds apart for about 10 minutes. And this whole time Phend was running a distant 4th.

Like I said, the video doesnt do it justice. But congrats to Ty for the double win. That kid is definetly fast as hell!

I wonder how many people are going to go buy D8's again now.

I never said his win was a display of anything. That's good driving ! But, his family and his realtionship with the Lord and savoir is something that not many profess in the world we live in today. I see and can take pride in that regardless of a win or a loss. We respect everything else in this world, and I totally respect and agree with his chosen life.

In the Buggy final it was just luck the Ty won, great effort, great driver but just luck due to blown out track. I'll never understand why organisers run Truggy finals first and leave a blown out track to the poor buggy racers, seems real dumb to me.
The areas where they wrecked on the last few laps were not blown out. They just did not time the bottom of the whoop sections and the center double right. The track as far as blown out areas was pretty much the same each day. The only part worse on Sunday was the log jam section which did not play a factor in the mistakes at the end of the race. I was on site for two weeks, so I can tell you what was rough or not.

There is no such thing as luck to win a national championship. Preperation and capitilizing on others misfortune/mistakes is how you win. There was nothing lucky about the win. They did what they needed to do and thats it. Unfortunate for second place but not luck by the winner. They obviously finish races and have all cylinders firing and that's not luck. Craftsmanship and talent is what you call it.

I dunno Brandon,

There was some luck out on that track for sure. Anything could have heppened and did. See Ty's flameout. Had that not have happened where it did, the turnout would have been different. If that's not luck, I don't know what is. Doesn't take anything away from the prep, talent, and dedication of the drivers. But there's always some luck in racing.

in person, this main was awesome to watch. I witnessed the prep, attention to details, and teamwork from all of the amain racers. I wouldnt call it luck, I call it taking advantage of an opportunity.

Congrats to Ty, Job well done.

It starts with congratulations and good intentions and then gets closed when it turns into a raging internet bloodbath. As a species we are so doomed......
