Default junk body!!!

Got this body in a trade a while back. Have been afraid to use it because it looked so nice. My brother and I went to our local track Friday and I figured "today is the day". Well, 2 rollovers (rollovers, not big air flips) later, this is what I had for a body!
Anyone know how the hell this could happen? There is a Proline sticker on it. Not sure if it is a Proline body. I can't imagine this happens a lot. The body was in great codition with no cracks or scrathes.

Glad I saved my old junker. Spruced it up to put it back in service. Rattlecan!

Did you get any nitro/engine cleaner on the body by chance?

Never touched the body.

In fact, the body in the last pic is fairly brittle after using 2 cans of carb cleaner on it to try and remove the original paint. (what a mess!) But even that has held up through some serious bashing.

Makes sense. How would this happen? I have some really old bodies and they dont break apart. Though, this one here was fairly thick.

That's awesome. Brace it up and run it as a madmax practice body.
Looks like its just past it's prime, bodies crack sometimes on the 1st run. It's just how it goes.

In retrospect, thats not a bad idea. Rest of the body is still lying at the track. I guess if I was to do it, i should coat the whole thing in electrical tape and silicone though.

Use drywall mesh, cut it to fit and shoegoo. Leave it in the sun and it will be almost like new.
