What servos do you run? Your M11x Rx can handle 8.4v with no problems. I've been running that way for a while.

I run hitec 7955. I dont want to run a regulator and I like the run time of the LiFe packs. I just want some that fit in the box.

That's my exact setup. Two 7955's, 2000mah 2s1p Protek Lipo and the M11x Rx (92451 I think).

No regulator needed. The 7955's are very fast when you give them a full 8.4v.

From what I been hearing is that the lipo's(7.4 2S) wear out the 7955 faster than regular voltage(which is 6.0v)

As per a Hitec rep, the 7955's CAN take the full Lipo charge. They're supposedly identical internally to a 7954.

I have been running the Hobbico LiFESource Rx battery for well over a year now, and it fits perfectly. Here is a link http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXAAGM&P=7. Don't let the 1300mah rating fool ya, it will go for an hour + 15.

I've got 4+ years on half a dozen 7955's running 8.4v. Not a single servo has failed, they're actually one of the most durable products in RC, IMO.

I run the hobbico 1300 life pack and also the dynamite 1300 pack. Ran 2, 6 minute heats and a 30 minute main with no problems on either pack.

I have them them in the last radio tray. I dremeled the top alittle to fit and it was fine. Dont see how I can dremel it for the Gen 3 tray, so I didnt do it. The only way it works now if I only screw on side of the top down(the other side will no line up after screwing one side in). I just ran today, 2 quals, 15 min main and still with no problems

It looks like I will go with Dynamite LiFe pack(Lipo still on the brain hearing some of you guys run it without a regulator. BUT I might just go with the safe routh(LiFe pack to get me going)
