Default Losi 8b vs. 8t ring + pinion differences?

Humor me for a minute, and if you can, answer my question.

What are the differences between the ring and pinion for an 8b, and that of an 8t?

Reason I ask is I need to rebuild the rear diff on my 8t, and I have a new 8b ring and pinion set that I won't need (sold the 8b).

It will work as long as you use the buggy ring and pinion but i wouldnt do it...It will the throw your gear ratio off and will make the car handle like poo....

I tried it, everything fit the same but I couldn't get it to shim correctly, I'm just going to buy the 8t stuff.

Thanks for the help, however.
