There are alot of variables.
engine/tune
pipe/header
tires
driving style.
track conditions
crashing
How long are you trying to go and what are you doing now?

First I would try a smaller carb restrictor then you can turn down your endpoint on your carb. Works for me.

Ditch the .28 and grab a good .21 engine....most racers run a .21 in Truggy for that reason. Runtime is much better and the power is just as good.
Reedy 121vr, Werks B5, something like that.

That engine is a gas HOG. If you are serious, you need to look for a .21. I run a stock Nova p5 and get just under 9 mins per take..

I was n your situation. When I started I bought a RC8RS RTR. It came with the .28 that u have. It had great power but really loved fuel. 5 to 6 min was it! There no good way to stretch the time much on that engine. I tried pipes, retstrictors with some gains but just not worth it. U can get a Werks B2 and a pipe(can b used pipe to save money) and you'll get 10 plus on a good tune. Or for a little more power n a truggy, try a B5. Unfortunately, if u want more run time, you're gonna have to change engines. I sold my .28 with prostart for 100 bucks and that'll at least cover close b half of a new engine/pipe
