Losi 8ight 2.0 tekno v4 conversion help
I am going to convert my losi 8ight to elctri after me having no luck with the nitro. I am getting the tekno v4 conversion kit because that semms what everyone is liking over the losi conversion. I was wondering if a mamba monster setup would be good or a tekin? And do I need to get a different spur gear then my stock? Long shank pinioned vs regular pinions? Also where can I buy mechanical brake sand are they worth it and is the elctri clutch and traction drive any good?

Don't run out the losi conversion as been bad. I run the conversion on my 8t 2.0 with no issues and it comes with a new spur and 2 pinions. The losi 8 E 2.0 is produced with the same kit and does just fine. The tekno kits are nice if you have a worn out chassis or want mechanical brakes. I'm new to electric myself and went with a Tekin RX8/T8 and am happy with it.

just added mechanical brakes last night. and going to get the electric clutch this week then back to the track.
i like the idea of allowing the motor/drivetrain to separate in flight so it can freewheel. with direct drive it will nose dive alot in the air. plus, you can tune the clutch engagement for better traction control.
also, with mechanical brakes, you can adjust front/rear bias.
i am running a tekin t8 in mine with a hobbyking 120a esc.
