Looking to get a buggy

I have been racing and bashing MT's since 04 but I am looking to get into buggy racing. Want to get a kyosho buggy for racing and most likely run OS motors.

Any advice on what to get and use. Or tips on anything. Thank you.

Speeds just a matter of money; How fast you want to go?

Don't settle for just an OS get a Speed and you should be set. Also check out sweep tires for some good prices on great tires.

What good is a Speed if you are new to nitrobuggies. I could see the Mugen JX1 BO2 (the Speed Jr.), but the Speed is kinda overkill.

My advice is to just get good equipment right from the start. It allways ends up cheaper in the long run, but don't over do it. Maybe something like:
-Kyosho MP9, Mugen, or the Xray XB9
-OS 21XZ-B, Nova +4, Mugen JX21
-Hitec 7955, 7950 servos
-AKA Gridiron S, SS, Impact SS, Ibeam SS.

keep in mind that not many hobby shops here in nj carry parts for the k car. you may want to go to you lhs and see what cars they carry parts for. you most likely find losi and ae at lhs here in nj.

Thank you for the advice. I live in ohio now though and lhs don't carry this stuff at all other than trx so everything will need to be ordered. I want to get good stuff to start with as I don't want to be upgrading in july.

You're standing on it! I'm in Mansfield, but hope to hit a few different tracks this year.

You're in luck, a few good tracks within just a couple hours.

Rc8.2 or rc8b is great for starting out, and even beyond that. Solid, fast buggy. I'm switching brands if you want a deal on a roller.
