Amen...

Thats why i strayed off the narrow path and bought an Xray XB9. But the MP9 just drives so much better, so Im back to the Kyosho.

Need to learn how to calm down the throttle finger now then. Been racing for 12 years and still havent learned how to take it easy, damn...

On the original question, I think you need to test both cars in order to know which one will suit you best. No other way of telling really. They´re both good cars. Personally I think the Mugen is more durable, but the Kyosho is faster.

I owned a Tki2 WC before my xb9, I turn the same exact lap times with the xb9 if not faster than the Kyosho. I'm not bullshitting when I say that the Xb9 has huge potential to be one of the best cars on the market.

As far as Mugen vs. Kyosho....Mugen is far more reliable IMO but the Kyosho hands down is better when it comes to performance.

I really hate these types of threads....ugh.....

Just buy the car you want. This tread will make you regret buying any car you choose right now.

I would go for mugen. The car is tougher. Parts are less expensive. Setup is easy. Car is easier to drive than a "K"

After driving both the K car and the 6R I give the Kyosho a slight edge.
If you ever get the chance to feel the K cars drivetrain it is second to none.
It is so free without being sloppy.

out drives (f/r on TKI3 only) and spur gears (unless running an aftermarket engine mount).

Your statement about the spur gears is just wrong, sorry. You do not need an aftermarket engine mount, chassis, or anything other than what's in the black Kyosho box to keep from breaking spur gears. This issue has been well documented in the MP9 thread.

Just my personal experience Sean. Blew through 3 spur gears when I first got my kit. Swithced to KH extended mount and the issue went away.

Love my K cars and would recomend to anyone.

What clutch were you using when you blew the spur gears?

I hear you Dan, just saying you don't "need" anything aftermarket for it to not happen is all.
