Default Hot Bodies D8 vs. Hot Bodies CR8

So far, which buggy seems to have better quality, even though the CR8 isn't out yet?

Well, let's see.

We haven't broken anything on a CR8 yet and we broke a front shock tower on our D8.

So therefore I believe the CR8 so far has better quality!

Scientific reasoning!

How long have you been running the CR8?
I saw the Josh Alton/CR8 introduction on neobuggy and man it looks awesome. I saw that video and found the replacement for my D8 when the CR8 comes out.
Anyone have any ideas on the release date? and pricing?

I think he was being sarcastic as the cr8 is not even out or due out for some time now...he has not broken anything on his cr8 cuz he dose not have one...

I just asked because I imagine they have guys out there testing prototypes for durability issues and to see how the new parts and chassis stand up to the abuses of racing. If he was being sarcastic then that's the way I'll take it, no sweat on my end.

The CR8 is just fugly looking, not to mention, "correct me if i'm wrong"
who in the hell locates a reciever battery under a fuel tank!!!!????
uh??? Fire hazard for 1, and 2 if fuel does get under the tank R/C fuel is corrosive....
Last time i checked a full fuel tank is heavier than a reciever battery so, why locate it higher in the chassis???!!!
If you google pictures of the Buggy, personally i think its designed like s#it and looks like it..
The chassis is too narrow so the push all the electronics (except the battery)
to the outter most of the chassis. Seriously???
Talk about back a$$words design. One would think that the progression of Buggy designs has done is put the weight lower and more center. Hot Bodies has put the weight higher and more out??
Just sayin my 2 cents here..lol

Default My pennies

I think with Ty kicking the snot out of the competition with the frankenstein HB buggy the problem of what car to bring out as a full on premire race kit becomes complicated. The new cr8 looks awesome, but with the other kit still winning, the need to make something, anything, that will help the customers buy one kit and not have to buy all these extra parts to make the winning buggy is important, and the cr8 although it's proving to be fast, isn't the big dogs car, period. I think HB is missing out on sales right now by not having a complete kit available with all the hop ups.
