Someone involved with this site seems to be making an effort getting woman involved, I just saw some womans boots for sale next to this thread

If rc clubs and tracks were a bit more like country clubs they would be more likely to come racing, but most are a container or two out in a field.

Looks like I'm not alone where the wife hates rc.

How many of you guys get the cold sholder and stink eye when you leave at 7am and get home at 7pm from a days racing, even when you gave them over a months notice, spent all week doing chores around the house.

Asked her so many times to come along, nah doesnt want to know about it, cant wait till my little fella is old enough, have a buggy sitting waiting for him.

My wife is my partner, we do a lot together. I go places with her that I hate and she come to the track with me to record vids for me. She also analyzes how I drive, and tells me about the mistake I need to clean up on.

My wife was sitting at the kitchen table reading and I had just finished watching Rooster Cogburn (sp) on the TV when I decided to go clean some buggy tires. Instead of going outside, in the dark, and using the hose, I thought it would be a good idea to come inside and talk a bit with the wife while I scrubbed my tires. Kind of a way to get the wife involved ya' know, let her know that I take care of my stuff.

Anyway,

I start scrubbing away and the conversation went kinda' like this:
Wife: "I just cleaned the sink, what are you doing?"
Me: "Just cleaning some tires"
Wife: WHAT ! WHAT TIRES??

Here's where I take the opportunity to teach my wife a little something about tires.

Me: "My Buggy tires. These are AKA gridirons in the soft compound and they hook up pretty good on our blue groove track. You can tell they are..."

Wife: *Incoherent screaming begins*

I didn't get all of what she said but I was able to pick out a few key words: "KILL" and "STAB" were in there along with a few others that would probably get me banned.

Yea she was a little upset but for a few brief moments we were "Talkin' RC" together and it was great. Take the time to get your wife involved with your hobby, you never know where it may lead.

Dennis, waisted time. Get here a knit-set

Read the post above. They had a $100 payout on this powder puff race and my wife has been asking about when it will be raced again.

My wife earns money by painting their bodies and sometimes makes THE CAR maintained, of course she met in this hobby and know that if I get to decide I'm going with THE CAR and besides it is cheaper than a strip club

+1 for me. Its not as bad now as my 5 1/2 year old daughter goes with me from time to time. She doesn't have a car yet, but I am seeing a short course for her in the future.
