You can add my wife to this club. It's better to keep her out of it. Her ignorgance is the only thing keeping me in the hobby because if she knew how much $$$ it cost, she would be a LOT more involved. As in, telling me what I can and can't buy.

"Why do you need that 900$ car? I found one at Walmart for 59.99$"

To keep my wife somewhat interested, she suggests paint and I follow through. It's surprisingly fulfilling showing her a car that is painted with her color suggestions.

RC is a way for a lot of people to escape from their spouses and family, albeit sometimes just an afternoon... but at the same time it brings some together. To each his own.

Even though she cuts out the bodies she still hates it with a passion. And I'm glad she does. If she was more involved then she would start to figure out how much my little hobby costs me. And if that happens,,,,,,,, I'm just gonna leave it at that.

my wife thinks rc is silly and a waste of time, bringing her to the track will only make her more mad and I will get a bigger beating when I get home............ So ....... No soup for you !! ( just kidding folks, no woman beats me...at least not for free. )

Super easy, just do the dishes and clean the sink yourself once in a while!

You would think it was still the 1950's reading this thread.

My wife travels with me to all the races I go to. So much so, that in Jan I have to build a calendar with all the race events for the year. It works for me. I always have someone there to watch my stuff, yell at corner marshalls when I crash, cheer me up when things go sideways, and get me lunch.

It's nice having someone there to help analyze your race when you are done. She's even gotten good at knowing what tires to run and when my engine is out of tune.

My biggest fear is that when I die my wife sells my RC cars for what I told her I paid for them.

If she wants to help lug everything around, by all means, come along.
