Default Kyosho mp9 tki2 or tki2 wc

Im looking at getting my 1st nitro buggy. I've narrowed down to losi 8ight 2.0, mp9 tki2 or mp9 tki2 wc.

What's the difference between the tki2 and tki2 wc?

Several things.

There are very few actual WC kits on the market right now, but the parts are still available.

WC had:

Revised/stronger front arms
HD lower arm brace
Full-faced/unmilled front shock tower (heavier/stronger)..>Tebo still runs the standard milled unit in the US.

Diff rear shock tower (camber link mounts changed)
Forward "kanai" battery mount bracket.

I'm sure I missed a couple things, but that's the main things.

Biggest two things you really need is the forward battery mount the rear shock tower.

So if I find a dent deal on a standard tki2 then add the rear shock tower and battery mount i'd be in very good shape?

Yes.

The front arms have been revised now, so most of the ones you'll get will be reinforced. Not sure about in the TKi2 kits.

The front shock tower isn't necessary unless you crash a ton @ high speeds.

The stong lower arm holder is nice to have, but again, see crash note.

Forward batt. mount is available as a kit, but you don't have to have the holder (but it's nicer). Some guys just velcro/ziptie the battery in the forward position. I'm not the biggest fan of it, but it is just as effective.

Rear shock tower is pretty much a must have for me.

Also, I left off, the WC rear hub carriers and drive hexes are different. The 17mm hub face is a little thinner, thus narrowing the rear trackwidth slightly. I forget exactly what's different about the hub carriers, but I know they are. You can get by without these two parts; but they work really well together
