Default Stripped Screws?

Whats some of the ways you guys have fixed stripped screws in composite parts, have a couple driving me nuts, keep backing out.

put CA glue in the hole and also on the screw. It will keep it in place but also allow you to remove the screw when needed. You can also try to tap out the plastic a little deeper and use a longer screw

+1, thats exactly what i do! i have also heated screw before putting it in but cant tighten to tight, it allows plastic to form around threads

Yep, that's what I also do!
Fortuantely I learned not to wrench on my cars at 3am when I come home from the pub. This saved me a lot of stripped threads

Cheer guys for the reply, a guy at the track mentioned to use CA glue.

Morgoth you could be onto something, note- no work in buggy cave (wifes description) after pub.

Wade, I have had success with the super glue method, it is best applied on the tip of a fine jewellers screwdriver and a thin coating applied to the stripped hole and let fully dry gives the best chance of a permanent fix. If in a hurry you can insert numerous objects onto said oversize hole including the fine tapered end of a cable tie, a cardboard sliver off a header card or even a sliver of match stick.
