This thread went down stairs, oops I mean hill very quickly.

But seriously, something , probably the burnt fuel residue is causing a reaction. Try a couple eye drops of Systaine prior to working on your car. Works with contacts also.

I was having the same issue in the pits and cars burning Odonnell.

My eyes don't burn but I have to take the glasses on and off approach. Such a pity to get old.

Your eyes are telling you that you're getting older.
Try buying yourself a pair of cheap, +1.00 or +1.25
power, reading glasses. You will also notice that it
will take brighter more glare free light to focus on
the smaller stuff with your bare eyes as you get
older.

Yea, I've got three or four pairs floating around the house,
at least one pair in each one of my cars, pick-ups and work
trucks and a couple pair in each of my big tool chests at
the shop.
What's really bad is when you know you just had them,
look everywhere for them, then and realize they are sitting up
on the brim of the hat that you have on.
They have come to be called "Cheaters" to me and the
guys I work with. We all use them.

I also have glasses all over the house and my cars and tool boxes. The glasses help me see but don't stop my eyes from burning. There must be fumes from the fuel and oils and cleaners that just do not get along with my eyes. It's getting bad though. I have to keep Visine in my pocket whenever I go near my Buggy.

Fred Sanford had many glasses in his drawer. I like to call them optical enhancers.

I talked to some other guys who own Agama buggys and they are
having the same proglem with their eyes burning when they get
near them. After switching over to Serpent buggys and truggys
their eye problems magically disappeared. ......j/k

Wow, over react much??
In fairness, he wasnt suggesting that all Polish mix nitro and vodka, and you seem to have seen this as a massive personal attack??
FYI, in a local town in the UK, 5 Lithuanian blokes were killed in an explosion and fire mixing chemicals into Vodka. Perhaps all Lithuanians do this at home??
