Thats nothing. Look at the shipping fees from RC Monster. A simple FLM engine plate for like 10$ cost over 20$ to ship, and its drop shipped from FLM that takes FOREVER, took over a month to get my TVPs both times.

I wonder why you can't ask for an enveloppe at amainhobbies. I live in Belgium (Europe) and we don't have to pay taxes on enveloppes. But as soon as you order for 42$ (around 35), customs can charge you :/ And an enveloppe is faster than a box + it's cheaper.

I ordered 12 aka black tire inserts for a steal of $.99 each...

when i went to choose shipping...it had shipping cost about $14 for the cheapest option..

so i went and added a couple more inserts to bring the total to 16 inserts...spreading that ridiculous shipping cost over more items..

went back to choose shipping again AND IT WENT UP! for 4 more foam inserts? i know they are using the same box for 12 vs 16 foams..

definitely checking all of my options before ordering with them now..
Order other items besides the foams. I ordered a new SCT and buggy body with a few other things the last minute added 32 of the single foams. My shipping cost didn't go up after adding the foams.

Foams need a big box. Its not about the cost of the product but the size and weight of the package also the distance. Amain is on the westcost. If you live way out east, your gonna pay alittle more.

you need to order more than $100 to get competitive prices on s/h from amain. anything less, you should try elsewhere.

Buy it from your local hobby shop and pay tax on it if you don't like the shipping prices. Pretty easy IMO.

Also when you click that RUSH MY ORDER box during checkout that means it's going to add on a minimum of $3.99 to your shipping cost in order to ensure your order gets picked and packed before the other orders that did not pick this option. It's all explained right there in English if you actually read the details.
