Default Are many people here sponsored drivers?

As I go though the "Show off your Truggy" & "Show off your Buggy" threads I notice many people sporting sweet paint jobs often times logo'ed up like a sponsored car. Monster Energy Drinks, or Rockstar Energy Drinks, etc..

Whats up with that?

Are many of these trucks Sponsored, or just trying to look as much like a "Racer" as possible imitating racing vehicles IRL that are sponsored vehicles, Like Ken Block's car?

Little intimidating some of those paint jobs, is that the goal, keep them (like me) guessing?

Most people like to put stickers on their cars to show what products they use and enjoy.. plus it looks better than just a plain ol paint job IMHO..

Yeah, I do that too, for that exact reason, just got a little confused with stuff like Monster and Rockstar Energy Drinks. Didn't know they made RC Parts too. JK

But yeah, there is this SICK Buggy all black with Monster Energy Logo's. Looks intimidating, I was curious if when I see something like that is there potential that they are sponsored. It looks like the car the bad guy would drive in some flick.

When you see a paint job it can be anyones car. You can pay to get paint just as good as any pro or even like nascar etc paint. Then decals are another story, you can never base someone on a sticker. Sponsors are very cool and most racers goal but there nothing to be intiminated by. You can be sponsored by just dedication and support its not all results. Anyone can buy a sticker, or wrap. Like thatch said stickers just look better then plain paint.

If the brands are rc related, then the person might be sponsored by those companies.

If it is Rockstar, Tide, Nike, Best Buy, Dc, Coke, Monster, etc... then no way, unless they work for that company or something.

A lot of people like to paint or sticker companies or logos or ideas that they like and it can make the cars look cool.

Not 100% correct. AE team is sponsored by rockstar/makita. More and more companies are making the transition to rc racing teams. Some commercial products are good for rc.

But never anything to be intimidated about....

AND Kicker, also Adam and a few are with SPY, there are some companies out of rc that sponsor. Oakley was one odd one i talked to about a little deal. I know a guy also on DC(not entirely sure what brand). Its not false to have a company sponsor out of rc. Just least likely. Some guys even run stickers where they work as it is where they gettin the money to support the habbit.
